The Environment is no Flowery Phrase
In the Perutnina Ptuj Group, we pay immense attention to the protection of the environment. In addition to introducing of environmental quality standards, we continuously develop advanced projects on the protection of the environment, which are initiated in line with each investment in infrastructure or improvement of operations.
In the Company, we have several services organised for these purposes, which, independently from each other and in a harmonised way, at the same time, take care of and prepare different projects on safety, quality and relation to the environment. Thus, protection of the environment starts already with the production of feeding stuffs for poultry breeding where a lot of energy and funds are involved with minimisation of the use of different chemical preparations, and continues in the preparation of feeding stuffs where we do not use any genetically modified raw materials and any soy from the Amazon area. Processes concerning relation to the environment and control of environmental factors are thus monitored at the vertical level in individual companies, as well as at the Group level where the factors are mutually compared, and eventual deviations are removed immediately.
