Company Management
For many years, the Perutnina Ptuj Group has been managed by a team of experts striving for high goals, cherishing the same values, and implementing the mission and vision they had set up, through assistance of all employees.
Dr. Roman Glaser, born in Ptuj, graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Ljubljana in 1972, where he acquired a master's degree in 1982, and became a doctor of veterinary sciences in 1987. In 1988, he came from the Obdravje Institute for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of Ptuj to Perutnina Ptuj and he was appointed a member of the collective management body, responsible for co-ordination of production-technological affairs and development. In 1989, he became the Vice-President in charge of production, and in 1992, the President of the socially-owned company; in September 1997, the General Meeting of Shareholders of Perutnina Ptuj appointed him the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He received an award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCI) for outstanding business and entrepreneurial achievements for 1996. As an active member, he is involved with the CCI Assembly, where he is a member of the CCI Management Board, Chairman of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Management Board, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perutnina Ptuj-Pipo d.o.o. Čakovec, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Probanka Maribor, Chairman of the Slovenian Business Research Association in Bruxelles, Chairman of the Board of the Science Research Centre Bistra Ptuj, and Chairman of the Perutnina Ptuj Cycling Club.
He received an award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCI) for outstanding business and entrepreneurial achievements for 1996. Nada Krajnc, born in Ptuj, graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor in 1982. She has been employed in Perutnina Ptuj since 1981, at first as the operations officer in export-import, later as the Head of the Export-Import Department (1986), Head of the International Trade Department (1990), Director of the Trade Profit Centre (1993), and in September 1997, the General Meeting of Shareholders of Perutnina Ptuj appointed her a Board member and Director of Marketing.
Tone Čeh, born in Sakušak, graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor in 1977. He has been employed in Perutnina Ptuj since 1978, at first as a planner-analyst, later as the Director of the Planning and Analyses Department (1988), Vice-President in charge of economics of the socially-owned company (1990), Director of the Economics and Finance Department (1993), and in September 1997, the General Meeting of Shareholders of Perutnina Ptuj appointed him a Board member and Director of Economics and Finance. Between 1989 and 1990, he was the President of the Executive Committee of the Municipality of Ptuj. He is the Chairman of the Management Board of CCI Maribor and the Chairman of the Regional Development Council for Podravje region.
Milan Čuš, born in Ptuj, has experienced an extensive career by now. A Slovenian policeman, a lawyer, and a veteran in the war for Slovenia who was conferred a badge of honour of liberty of the Republic of Slovenia in 1996, acted in Perutnina Ptuj at first as the Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in 2007, by appointment to the Board of Directors, he took the responsibility for human resources management, as one of the strategic factors in further growth of business results. Namely, also in the future, the Company employing nearly 1,500 co-workers, and additionally, over two thousand at the Group's level, will continue with paying specific attention to managing the conditions for employed co-workers in the manner that will generate both, permanent jobs and motivation for work in Perutnina Ptuj.
Supervisory Board
Operations of Perutnina Ptuj have been responsibly monitored by the Supervisory Board comprising of six members, three of which are representatives of employees. At the General meeting of shareholders of Perutnina Ptuj, which was held on 26 August 2009, new Supervisory Board has been appointed.
The Supervisory Board was appointed from 27 September 2009 for four-year mandate:
- Radovan Stonič - Chairman,
- Uroš Vidovič – Deputy Chairman,
- Simon Toplak,
- Iztok Letonja,
- Natalija Veršič.
