Lunch
It is the second biggest meal after breakfast, where priority is given to vegetables and quality protein foods. We complete them by a smaller quantity of starchy foods with a low glycemic index (Gi), which is also rich in food roughage.
Before the main course, eat a large cup of salad prepared of different raw vegetables. Raw vegetables contain also roughage that will fill up the stomach well. The salad can be seasoned with a common dressing (olive oil, vinegar) or with a yoghurt dressing improved by home aromatic herbs.
The main course should be meat, poultry meat and, as often as possible, fish with a supplement such as cooked or fried vegetables, and a spoon or two of "good starchy foods" - the ones with a low Gi.
