How to Safely Prepare a Poultry Dish?
Even though poultry is considered to be non-demanding and easy to prepare, it is important how we prepare it, if we wish for our meal to be safe and tasty.
The fundament of safe food preparation is hygiene. We need to prepare each food with clean hands and a clean work surface. We need to wash our hands with soap under warm running water. All kitchen utensils, dishes, chopping boards and work surfaces that were in contact with raw meat need to be washed with a detergent and warm running water, so as to prevent the growth and development of dangerous bacteria. We must also prevent the juice of fresh poultry dripping in the refrigerator and if it does, such juice must immediately be wiped up.
