Chicken with plums and cinnamon served on mashed potatoes with peas and a salad with orange

Preparation process

  1. Oven: Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Chicken: Remove the cardboard packaging from the chicken and place it in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  3. Potatoes: Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Transfer them to a pot, cover with boiling water, add salt, and cook until almost soft, about 15 minutes. Then add the peas and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Finishing the chicken: Carefully remove the chicken from the oven, remove the foil, and turn the pieces of meat. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
  5. Mashed potatoes: Drain the cooked potatoes and let them sit for a minute to let excess moisture evaporate. Then add butter and milk and mash everything into a smooth purée.
  6. Salad: Wash and dry the salad. Peel the orange using a knife, then carefully cut out the segments. Squeeze the remaining orange over the salad. Add oil, vinegar, and salt, and gently mix.
  7. Serving: Plate the mashed potatoes and salad with orange segments, then add the chicken and plums and pour over the sauce. Serve immediately.
