Perutnina Ptuj in project "We respect tradition"

The rooster, hen, and chicken, among all domestic animals, had a very special place in the ancient Slovenian village life. They were part of numerous customs that regulated the course of life which, for long centuries, didn’t change much. Perutnina Ptuj’s legacy has been respect for the tradition and harmonious life with nature for over a 100 years; that is why we collaborate with Dušica Kunaver,  a well-known Slovenian collector of folk tradition, and spread the wealth of Slovenian folk heritage (ranging from tales, songs, sayings, and legends to customs involving the seasonal and life cycle) among younger generations in a modern way to prevent the heritage from falling into oblivion.
