Hasselback Potatoes

Preparation process

Wash the unpeeled potatoes well and then boil them in water for 20 minutes. If the potatoes are smaller, cook them for only 15 minutes, bigger ones for 25 minutes. When the potatoes are cooked, take them out of the water, peel them and cut them crosswise several times so that you do not cut through at the bottom.

The openings between the slices can be alternately filled with slices of ham and cheese. Place a little butter on each potato and season with salt and pepper. The potatoes can be baked by wrapping them in foil or using an oiled baking dish with a lid. Bake the potatoes at 200°C for about 30 minutes.

Before the potatoes are baked, spread the foil or lift the lid to lightly brown the potatoes on top. When the potatoes are baked, sprinkle them with grated cheese. Serve them with a green salad, and you can also add sour cream to it.
